fixable???

These are my old heads I used, one of the studs cracked, due to overtightening. My question is, If i machine the studs down and put guidplates on them would they work?

damn, i think thats the death of those vortec heads man, way to much crackage.

i agree...i have seen this before and it will keep cracking unless you do some creative welding and machining IMO.

Well damn. I was hoping I could machine em off and pit guideplates on em and sell em so someone could get some use outta em, they have been reworked for a bigger cam and whatnot, unfortunately they were also reworked to tight on the stud:/
