The casting number, located on the top rear edge of the block, is 12561168.

does anyone know yet if you can run a nv4500 behind an LS? i have not found info on it yet, but glad to see this post moving

The 1/2T 4.8s are available with a 5speed, just not sure which one. Im going to put a T-56 behind mine, in my 93 EC.

All the 1/2 tons got a NV3500, the 3/4-1 tons I believe have the NV4500.
