Should I consider upgrading/ replacing axles? Carrier? Other things? (while installing a new diff). Thx

I put a truetrac in my 01 1500 with the 10 bolt back in 2009, no other upgrades, and never had a problem. Mostly stock drivetrain, saw a little off roading.

If you think you'll ever want to change gears, do it now. Also you'll need an install kit with special bearings if the TrueTrac is going into a 10 bolt. (You never mentioned what rear end you're putting this into...)

EDIT - Here's a Motive kit with nice Timken bearings in the sizes you'll need for a 10 bolt TrueTrac installation.

I have a 95 k2500 with a 14 bolt sfa and 6 lug. I guess I won't need this.
