Hi my name is Jorden. I have a 1997 Chevy k1500 5.7 vortec and I'm having trouble with a crank no start problem. I got the truck last August and it was running fine other than a cylinder 3 misfire due to a fuel injector. So in october i finally got aroubd to changing the injectors to the MPFI spider injection. After installing them it took a little while to get it started again but I finally got it running. Went to go down the road for a test drive and it started spitting and sputtering and backfiring really bad. Ever since then it will crank bur will not start.
I have replaced:
- Plugs and wires
- Cap and rotor
- Crank and camshaft sensors
- Ignition control module and the ignition coil
- Distributor
- Computer
After replacing all of this I am still experiencing no start. I have 55 psi of fule pressure and the rail with the engine off and the key on. I am not getting any spark. Ive checked for spark on the plug wire and at the coil and I'm not getting any spark from either of those places.
Its really bugging me becauss I usually can fix stuff like this but i cant. Any help would be really appreciated
