Converting to PWM?

I have a 94 C1500 with a 4L60E and it needs a rebuild. I am wondering if I pick up an aftermarket one with PWM can I get my truck to use it?

Pulse Width Modulation. Eases the torque converter into lockup instead of just switching it on or off.

I can turn pwm on for the trans with a simple switch on a new chip for the PCM

If you do that, double check the pinout on the electrical connectors. I don't have my books handy but it seems the big round connector on the passenger side is pinned differently. May need an extra wire or two as well.
