haha nevermind, read that wrong on my phone oopps...

They are a thin stamped metal plate with adesive on the back side. If you find one at a jy, take your time to get it off, cause it will crease and bend, and youll never get it back to perfect. Best thing would be to get a tailgate with one already on it, then paint the tailgate to match the truck, that way you wont take the risk of messing one up. My buddy took mine off when the truck was getting painted. Said it was a horrible time doing so

I had one on mine, but took it off. I wanted the tailgate to look "smooth" if you will, an it was throwing it off. had i know these were gem pieces, would've saved it to sell.
