brake switch plug for a 1996 1500

does anyone know what the 6 wires to the brake switch plug is. their is white. orange, purple, brown, lt. green, and dk. green. thanks for any information anyone can provide.

Here's what I discovered on my 1998 when connecting a 99+ model year GM 7-way plug. Hope it helps.

Purpose / GM Color / Aftermarket Color
+12V to trailer / red / black (heavy gauge wire)
Trailer brakes / blue / blue
Ground / black / white (heavy gauge wire)
Right brake & turn / dark green / light green
Left brake & turn / brown / brown
Trailer rev lights / light green / purple (only needed if your trailer is equipped with reverse/backup lights)
