There both one wire alternators. You couldn't repin into the new connector?.
No, that will not work.
The 140-amp(?) alternator that he purchased uses Metri-Pack 150 unsealed terminals, whereas the 105-amp(?) alternator that he had [stock] uses Metri-Pack 150 sealed terminals.
The sealed terminal has wider crimps where it crimps over the terminal seal, which would prevent that terminal from being seated in the 140-amp connector cavity because the connector cavity is not wide enough for the sealed terminal to fit into.
The crimp on the unsealed terminal only crimps onto the wire insulation, which makes it relatively narrower and allows it to fit inside the connector cavity. We're talking millimeters of difference, but when discussing terminals, that makes a big difference.

In particular, this post:

All that being said, despite that I said it cannot be done, you can actually remove the terminal seal and crimp the crimp to make it narrower, and thus you can actually fit the sealed terminal (from the 105-amp alternator) into the connector cavity for the 140-amp alternator.
See this post and the following two posts:

I just do not recommend you do it this way.
The 140-amp alternator connector does not use sealed terminals because the connector itself has a seal (the orange seal in
this photo), which negates any need for the individual terminals to need seals.
