Almost stalls...

'97 with a 350 and auto trans - wants to stall out but doesnt. Truck drives just fine down the road but if I come to a sudden stop or take off from a stop it spits and sputters before it will move. Whats the list of things to check?

Sounds like a dirty Throttle body plate or IAC valve. Try cleaning them with some Throttle body cleaner and see how it goes.
