Hey everyone I am new to the site and wanted some opinions from other experienced OBS fans.

I currently have a Single cab Long box 1993 K1500 6.2 Diesel with a 5 speed manual trans and 3.42 gears. Paint job last year and currently running some 265/75R/16 on stock rims. Im getting approx 1100 kms to a tank on the highway.

I just installed a 6 inch Zone lift kit and adjusted the height to 5 inches of overall lift. Now here is my dilemma:

Im set on new 17 inch rims. Either an American Racing rim or Mickey Thompson classic style rims(much like chevymans white obs)

Should I go to a 35 inch tire... or stick to a more aggressive 305/75r/17?
Ive been told go ahead with 35s its a standard and its a diesel shouldnt have any issues, and other have told me to stick with 33s since the 6.2 is not a powerhouse by any means.

MPG is a factor as I commute to school.
Thoughts, Advice, Death Threats?

Thanks

35's should be ok. I don't know how powerful the diesels are, but its got to be better than a TBI 5.7. So is the Zone a true 6" or a 4" and crank like RCX? If you offroad I wouldn't go 35's with 5" lift you might chop up tires, but im sure you could do some trimming.
