man! I never thought of using a dishwasher for stuff like that! thats an awesome idea... i will be trying that out.

and when my wife opens it up and see the parts in there i bet the look on her face will be priceless...

Yeah, the dishwasher works great, just run it without the heating element, let it air dry and don't use dishwasher soap as it can bleach things. I've gotten a few good looks from running parts in it.

jeez, i would never go that detailed into cleaning unless i was building a show quality truck or it was mint. none the less that beast cleaned up nice. my wife would kill me if i ran parts in the dishwasher, gave me a good laugh even when i saw it.

Looks great, nice find. What did you use to clean the carpet? My new sub's carpet looks the same way and I can't get it clean.

best bet is to pull it out and power wash the damn thing then hang it to dry

I used a small bissel carpet cleaner. Pressure washing it is also a good way if its really really bad.
