Hey all I've had my 97 Z71 for 4 yrs now and it's time to changer her up a bit I'm lookin to get 35's on it this fall or at least 33's my question is what do I need to do its my work truck so I will be installing new shocks all around as well

Any and all opinions appreciated

crank and a block would be my guess for the 33's. A 6" RCX for the 35's :headbang:

What do you mean by work truck? Believe me when I tell you it's a pain in the butt loading or unloading heavy or big parts in an out of my truck now on the 4" lift.

Plus if you slip on a wet plastic bedliner it's farther to the ground an not as easy to catch yourself. Been there an done that a few times now myself, once today actually. IMO if you use the bed everyday for work don't lift it...

I'm a contractor have rhino liner ill be ok w a 4" lift

I cranked my wife explorer and used lift shackles can use lift shackles on my Z or are the block needed to keep the bed even??
I'm gonna go w 33" pro comps

And by crank you mean torsion bars correct??

yes torsion bars. a shackle flip will give you 4" in the back
EDIT: You said lift shackles. I have a block and the install was extremely easy. I don't know about lift shackles.

If you just want 33's with crank and block. Just get a 2" block and crank to level. Throw on a set of bilsteins and you'll be set.

A shackle flip will be to high for just crank up front.

As for shocks I'm gonna use the same as I used on my explorer
Bilstien heavy duty on front
Monroe sensa Trac load adjusters in the rear

what about a body lift? not nearly as much work as a suspension lift but keeps stock geometry angles.
Im no fan of them but its an option to consider, i think a 2in bl with 33s would work
