A/C fuse blows immediately

I found the A/C not working in a used truck I recently bought so I went to replace the mini 30A fuse at the far left side of the dash (driver's side) fuse bank. The new fuse blew immediately. Any specific reason that might be happening?

You've got a short somewhere. Time to pull out the ol' multimeter and go to town

Go to wire digram find out what that fuse feeds and start checking what's shorted or broke.

First unplug the compressor and see if the short is gone. Quick elimination.
