My 98K1500 truck started acting up yesterday. Starting and only running for a second or 2 and dies. The security light was staying on solid not blinking at all. Done some troubleshooting and ended up pulling the passlock module and found a burned spot on the board ( definitely bad). I replaced the module this morning and started the relearn procedure but the security light is still staying on solid and will not go off. I let it set for 30 min with the key on to make sure because I know some of these can take 15-20 min for the light to go off while doing this procedure. Do I need to take it to a shop and have it reprogrammed with a GM scan tool?
