Hey guys, new member here. This is my first GM full-size truck... I love it so far! My last 3 full size trucks were an 83 f350, a 94 f250 and a 94 f150 in that order.

I noticed today that my right rear brake is getting hot and smoking. So I am going to jack it up tomorrow and hope it's just adjusted way too tight. But I want to know what all I will need just in case I need to do a whole brake job on the rear. I have never worked on a full floater before. I know I'll need to top the diff off once I'm done. What wt gear oil should I get? I do have a g80 also if that makes a difference. Do I need any new seals? Special tools?
Any other advice before I tear into it is really appreciated!
