95 Z71 Cruise not working

Hi guys, Ok so we have checked fuses, fixed the third brake light and need help figuring out why the cruise does not work?



1995 Z71 Ext cab 5.7 automatic

The redesigned column for 1995-up generally rules out the previous most likely suspect - wiring inside the cruise lever. 1994-older have lots of trouble with it breaking the wires internally where they bend to go into the column.

For your truck, my next suspect would be the brake switch. Even if your brake lights work, they're not operated by the same set of contacts that disable the cruise.

Brake switch is cheap (and made cheaply) and easy to replace.
