I have been searching for transmission for my 94 z71 I have read some of the differences in 94-95-96-97,I have read about using the stake mod to the PWM solenoid.
I was thinking of making the PWM solenoid energize with the TCC by running a jumper wire to the TCC circuit,so when the TCC was engaged the PWM solenoid would come on also allowing converter lock up.
Has anyone ever done this or what are your thoughts on this?
A couple of years ago I put a 98 two piece 4l60e in a 97 with a one piece 4l60e's place and it worked and shifted fine.So I was thinking that later year two piece designs could work in earlier models given that some of the shift solenoids from the earlier trans may have to be used.
