95 4.3 k1500 oil filter adapter conversion?

Is this a common swap that you 4.3 owners do to have a straight down positioned filter? I know the v8 guys and gals do it to eliminate the oil cooler and lines but I already don't have them. Mine is leaking like crazy so when I have it off I wanted to convert. Thanks in advance!

Use the same pieces us v8 guys use... I dont remember the part number of hand, but I've posted it in many threads. Mf350 keeps popping into my brain this morning. You just have to source the bolt. Again the size is listed in most of the threads about it. The 4.3 is essentially a 5.7 with the 2 rear slugs cut off. So most of the outside bolt on stuff is all the same..
