Did you try grounding out a plug wire when it doesn't start to see if you are getting spark? you should probably go through all these easy simple quick steps to determine the problem rather than just guessing what part it is. I know the flue is spraying when its running, duh. I wanted you to see if it is spraying fuel when its cranking over and not firing up.

If you cant figure this out, I wouldn't attempt a 5.3 swap IMO.

It ended up being the distributor
