Hey everyone,

The window module on my 94 burb wasn't working and I've replaced it with a working one. I was wondering if there is a way to pull it apart and see about fixin it. If it's more trouble that it's worth so be it but I wanted to ask first.

TIA!

In the mid-late 1990's there was an industry wide switchover to less toxic soldering compounds. The consequence of this is that many automotive circuit boards fail due to brittle solder joints. It's a very common problem on our trucks. You might be able to tease the module apart and simply touch up any suspect joints. I think you are more likely to snap the plastic parts of the module owing to age. But if you have bought a new one anyway you have nothing to lose.

Thanks, tinfoil_hat. I'll see about getting it apart and fixing it. If successful, it could help someone else.
