4l60E dipstick tube broken

I finally got a chance to see why my transmission dipstick was loose. I thought it might have been a 2 piece tube and just came apart, but pulled the piece up and it's broken. I'm wondering if I can weld it back together, or I one of you guys had one of a junk 60 ya'll could donate to the cause.

You should be able to weld it. Junkyard or dealer will have one for super cheap. 1 bolt and its out

I'd go to a junkyard....imagine it'd only cost a couple of bucks.'

I just had the same issue with my 60e's dipstick tube. It broke in half right under the mounting bracket. FYI a new one is only $10 at the dealer
