I currently own a 96 ECLB with a 350. It runs great but I bought to be a project truck. I'm about to tear it down for an SAS and Cummins swap.
The sad reality is I need a truck. So I'm going to have to buy cheap one to use until my build is done.
I work in a junkyard and we have a CLEAN 97 dually in the back with a 454. Haven't checked it out yet and not entirely sure what it needs but I'm not opposed to rebuilding it. Or if it just needs a trans I just rebuilt my 4L80 about 3k ago.
Anyway long story short, would that be a good route to go? Or should I find another truck maybe with a bad 350 and swap in mine?
