Hey guys, got a bit if a brain tickler for yall. Got my truck with the 4x4 actuator blown in it, so any time I've needed 4x4 I had to jump out and swap in a modified actuator to get the front engaged; and the ol boy I bought it off of said I could run it in 4lo with the 2wd actuator in. My question is, can I put a new thermal actuator on a toggle switch and have 2lo without damaging anything? I like the idea of the having 2lo for having extra torque when needed, but like I said I don't want to break anything.

Why not fix it so it works as it should, or convert with a manual actuator kit. Manual actuator then no electric issues with finicky thermal device. Just a thought.
Think that's what I'm gonna do. Called Posi-lok ain't it?

Yeah, there's two kits available I think. Easy find online, then just shop around for good price. I have one to install on my 93 K1500.
