Yesterday when driving home from school I accelerated to pass a car and it downshifted to 2nd with no acceleration at all.

The fluid is still pinkish red but was burnt smelling.

So after a little driving and seeing where/how it's slipping, it slips in 1st and 2nd after 3000 rpm. Im sure it does it in 3rd as well but didn't want to test it.

Under light acceleration it doesnt slip at all but cruising in OD you can feel it kind of shudder every once in a while.

There's also a whining noise coming from around the torque converter that fluctuates with the rpm and is audible in park, reverse, neutral, and drive.

The torque converter does still lock up in OD.

This is a year old GM reman with around 15,000 miles on it.

Guess I should wrap this up lol. I figured out shortly after that it was my alternator going bad, not providing enough voltage for the computer to control the transmission which allowed it to slip. Resolved this month's ago [emoji28]
