1995 speedo and tach intermittent

Stock 1995 c1500 2wd 5.7 4l60e truck. 205k

Just started yesterday. Only seems to be affecting the tach and speedo, as well as shift indicator. Trans shifts fine, all other lights and dash functions still work when tach and speedo stop. Unknown about cruise.

Bumps, throttle angle, gear, cabin temp, engine temp, load, and speed seem unrelated to when they start and stop working.

All the threads ive found referenced blown fuses or not shifting. May have missed the right threads in my searching though.

Where should the diagnostic efforts start? Something common like bad solder joints in the cluster?

Here are the diagnostics for a 98 with the PRNDL indicator not working, maybe it will help.

I’m going to guess that it’s the same for a 95, but that was an oddball year on some things so keep that in mind.

I’d bet if you solve one then the other two will work again.
