What's needed for throttle body swap?

When I said "plenum set-up", I mean't from upper intake on up. Whether or not he decides to do lower intake gaskets is up to him, but if no leaks then no point really. Unless you just want to do it if updated gaskets haven't already been installed on the motor.

What's needed for throttle body swap?

Well I guess that depends on what tb your switching to/using. Like bam said though, nothing a new gasket and some good cleaner won't fix. I've become accustomed to starter fluid as a cleaner because it breaks down grime efficiently and most importantly evaporates quickly. A new gasket kit is...

    Been wondering for a while...

Having a hard time figuring this one out. Not every time, but very often I have what sounds like a cd syncing sound coming from behind the dash. I know this sounds weird and it is, but that's the only way I can describe the way it sounds lol. My only guess would maybe be the blower motor...

91' Chevy K1500 valve guide seals

Sounds like a case of broken or damaged piston rings if consistantly smoking while running and hot. Bad valve stem seals or o-rings will leak down oil(say overnight after you turn the truck off) and when cranked next will burn off the residual oil gathered inside the cylinder causing a few puffs...

    fuel pump specs

Both the AcDelco & the Delphi are basically the exact same thing. I would just go with the Delphi because most of the time it's gonna be your less pricey bet. As for the strainer, most of the ones I've seen usually attach in the middle. Hope this helps!

    Starting to wonder

My next investment will for sure be a black bear tune! I heard it makes such a difference, and I won't have to go out and spend $500 on a good handheld

    Starting to wonder

Already checked most all of that. Good idea that it might be coil resistance because if I'm not mistaken the one on my rig is OE, so I might just go ahead and get another seeing that it's about time for a new one anyway. Speaking of the 89 octane, I usually won't run anything but 89 with a...

    Starting to wonder

I have also been experiencing this off and on as of lately. Only does it during an idle state, whether in park or foot on the brake in drive and resembles somewhat of a misfire or rough stumble like you said. Not really even enough to drop the idle more than 100 rpms, checked the plugs and all...

New to the group, really glad I found this site!

What's up everybody, new to the site and looking to learn more about anything and everything! I drive a 99 Yukon so I think I'll fit in great here. I've had my rig for about 3yrs now and I feel like it was mean't to be from day one. Such an army tank of a vehicle; gotta love these OBS trucks! I...
