The never ending bagged and bodied 90 rcsb build....

The rear is setup to lay out on a 31" tall tire. So I was going to run 265/35/22s. I had a set of 22s on the wife's ride with that size tire and it road pretty good. That's about as low of a profile as I want to run around my area. We don't have the greatest of roads around here. Front...

Thanks man. Still loving it. Actually about to throw full coverage back on it so I can drive her again. Hows your truck coming along btw? Need to get the driveline vibration fixed and all will be good. Didn't find anything loose or bad on it when I went through it other than the rear link...

This isn't 400 related but I finally finished the cam swap on my 04. Still needs a tune but sounds pretty beastly. She was loading up in this video. I've since regapped the plugs and it idled much better now. I actually put 100mi on it already and I think I had it shutoff once. Sent...

The never ending bagged and bodied 90 rcsb build....

Tires are 255/35/20 in the front and 255/50/20 in the rear. I mounted up the two in the rear temporarily so I could set up the suspension to lay out on a similar tires size in 22". But ended up liking it so I just left them on. It nearly tucks lugnuts in the rear with these tires. Plus they...

    Dylan's 89 c1500 scsb on going project.

Wow ! Ya I knew it was a good deal..but damn. If I remember right he wanted $350-$400 and he had this story how it came out of his truck with 30k mi. When I got there it had the year and gear ratio written with a grease pencil so I knew it came from a scrap yard. Looked like it had been...

Didn't even realize until now that you had a 454 SS rear. Good thing since your boosted. I was fortunate to find one as well...mine has 3.73s as well. I didn't really need a 14bolt but for $250 I couldn't have put gears or a posi in my 10bolt. Glad I bought it as things things are getting...

Actually I think this is the same diagram that I used. Pretty much tells what all the pins are. I'll check tomorrow still what I have. Also if that's not what you need there is a few diagrams scattered through the pages of the Moonie swap thread. Here is the link...

    blue_92_sierra's bagged ecsb build thread

I agree completely about the traditional drop. I'm only 5'8" so I don't miss the headroom at all. I still would like to cut 2" or so out of the seat brackets to bring you down closer to stock....but never have gotten around to it. Btw no one can ever tell the truck is BD by looking inside...

I think I still have some out in the garage actually. I'll see if I can scan it and upload it. I think they were wiring of a 90. It might be tomorrow before I can get to it though. Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

Yessss! Takes much bigger balls to cut up a nice truck like this opposed to one like mine...that was destined for the junkyard anyhow. This thing is going to be amazing bodied. You going traditional or stock floor with the cab? Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

    New project/tow pig

It was post #8 but my eyes may be deceiving me. Lol. And I know what you mean..I've been unemployed going on a year now but seems like I still have 0 free time to work on anything. I did manage to order a cam ,springs and pushrods for the 04 almost a year after I said I was...lol Sent from...

Nothing really to report on updates other than that she's been in the garage for winter. Had a good aummer season and put 4k ish miles on it with no real problems to report. I have a vibration when laying into it I need to address. I think it's either the exhaust rattling on the tranny...

Not sure if I've commented before but amazing truck man. Love the way this thing sounded with that blower on it! I know you said this motor is being built with boost in mind....same blower or you have something else in mind? Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

    ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS!!!

How bad is the camber? I've got my camber as far negative as I could get it ( for tucking and riding lower purposes) and with about 90psi wheels are pretty straight. That's with the tires barely untucked. Don't know what the exact degree is as I aligned it with a tape measure in the garage...

Thanks man. It's something that sets my truck apart a bit. I've gotten a lot of compliments on this truck even though it really isn't that "nice". It's just a cool looking fun cruiser. I had an old man give me the thumbs up on the highway the other day when I was cruising low. Was pretty...

Just another pic of it cleaned up a bit. Still taken with my crappy ass cellphone camera though. This thing lays out so hard. Nearly tucks lug in the rear. Probably won't have many updates from herecon out as this is pretty well the completion for now. I don't have the money or the will to...

    my bagged 1967 suburban

Can't believe I haven't seen this thread!?!? Love these old burbs and yours is no exception. Looks great OD green. Btw I think we kinda have the same theme going. I used 5.56 shellcasings as switches as well...but I flipped them the other way..drilled out the pocket and epoxied them on. I...

I know they use to have angled lowering blocks as well. You could always try that if you didn't feel comfortable stacking a shim and block.

The never ending bagged and bodied 90 rcsb build....

Finished up my latest project today. My wheels were a closeout buy from a wheel store going of business that I bought years ago. No idea on the brand but they had these little plastic rivets that I've always hated. They just made the wheel looks even cheaper than it already is...Lol. that...

Got the truck all fixed up again. New radiator, upper radiator hose, overflow hose, thermostat, Ford Taurus fan in stock shroud all in now and working. Only thing I have left to do on the efan swap is switch the trigger wire to a keyed source and and an LED to the hot side so I know when the...
