The Shock Thread

How is your truck lowered? Mine is 4/6 as well. I have 2" spindles and 2"coils front and a flip kit with c-notch and shock extenders rear. Thanks!

Wheel spacing info for lowered trucks

I just bought a set of 1995 Corvette "saw blade" wheels. They are 17 x 8.5 front and 17 x 9.5 rear. Anybody know what size adapters/spacers work with these wheels? I've seen a couple of pictures of GMT400's with these wheels but no info on spacers or tire sizes. Thanks!

Lowered 98 rides like crap in the rear.

Thank you all. I installed the extenders and they helped but didn't fix it. I have some monroe shocks I bought that were suggested from the shock forum. I will install them Friday and update. I can't believe the kit didn't come with extenders. Hard to believe people haven't complained enough for...

Lowered 98 rides like crap in the rear.

I recently installed the McGaughy's 4/6 kit on my truck. The kit comes with 2" spindles, 2" springs and new shocks for the front and C-notch and flip kit for the rear also with new shocks. The truck is loose feeling in the rear and rides like crap. It really feels like the shocks to me but I was...

Best shocks

Hello all. I just lowered my 1998 RCSB with McGaughy's 4/6 kit which included shocks. The ride is not nearly what I had hoped for and I have a suspicion it is from the shocks. I've lowered several of these trucks before and the ride was much better. Has anyone had this same luck with this kit...
