TBI Block vortec heads NO programing?
It will run and drive without a tune, but how well it runs I cant say I needed a tune really bad but I swapped to a 454 tbi and injectors which is a big difference. Some people have done it without a tune but you really wont notice the full performance gain of the vortecs without a proper tune...- whatif3387

My documented TBI-to-Vortec 350 conversion!
Your deff not getting enough fuel the vortec heads make alot more power.Depending on which 5.7 injectors your running you will at least need 20 psi maybe more.- whatif3387

I have a 4l60e so I don't have the kickdown but I do have cruise control even tho I never use it. I straightened out the back of the mount and I'm prolly going to weld on a tab I can drill a hole in and run a bolt through. There is a very high possibility that it is timing. When I went to point the distributor towards cylinder 1 it wouldnt seat down all the way because the oil pump shaft wasnt lined up so I just pointed it at a different terminal and rotated all of my wires.
