96 tahoe 4wd going for MPG

on a full tank we get about 4 hundred something kilometers. And by full tank i mean 3/4 tank cause of the fuel pump being an issue if its less than 1/4. Is that normal or is it just our truck? Also, i get this weird whining noise from the back end, near the diff after it turns over...

so... The ac can be bypassed with a new belt? There is a diagram near the hood latch in the engine bay that shows the belt path for both the ac and non ac. Does that mean that a smaller belt can be used in place of the current one?

got a bit of an issue aswell. The bearing on the ac compressor is whining like a ***** and will need to be replaced real soon. Its just too damn expensive and i'm wondering if it can be opened and regreased, or can i reroute the belt so that the compressor isn't even being turned?

Will do on the tune up... As for seafoam, i've heard great things about it but never actually tried it. Still a bit skeptical so if anybody has any first hand experience post it up cause i'd like to get that done this weekend. We do have the tires and max psi and then some but are looking...
