88 K2500 random die but restarts

I got a 1988 K2500 with the original 5.7 and 700r4. before I describe my issue lemme give some context. In april of this year I bought this truck with 144k miles on it and it was super reliable until I saw that it was losing coolent out the exhaust. so in auguest (it had about 150k miles on it)...
