88-98 Bucket seat alternatives

Not hard. Making the first set of brackets was the hardest and we fabbed them up in about 5 hours. The second set took maybe an hour to make and install. Ive got the plans if anyone is interested.

The seats re from an 06 tahoe and the console is from a 00 Navigator (essentially the same as the expy console but a little touch of fake wood). The console has a spot where a factory cd changer would have gone but I put a dvd player for the rear screen in its place.

I love free stuff!

Free stuff is always awesome! I got my 96 burban for $47 through mutual friends. It just needed to have the upper plastic intake replaced and it was good to go. $47 and 4 hours later I have a suburban that was in fantastic condition. Thank god for some people's laziness.

I got the seats from a vendor here in Dallas called http://www.customseatsoftx.com and ended up being $650 after taxes. Im sure you can find tons of them on ebay. I was going to buy them off there but I found this place locally. My second row actually looks pretty good for 210k miles so I just...

There is no rubbing at all which surprised the hell out of me. When we put both the seats in, I was sure the middle console wouldnt fit. It still needs a little tweaking to get the peices to line up correct but overall it looks pretty good.

Yesterday I installed a seat of 06 tahoe seats into my 96 suburban. The burban had buckets which made things easier when it came to wiring. I have included pics of my home made bracket to aide in someone else's similar project. I am still a noobie when it comes to posting pictures so maybe...
