    Towing in overdirve

Transmissions will tow in OD just fine, provided you have enough holding power in the clutch packs or clutch to apply power and not slip depending on your final drive ratio and GCVW. That said the biggest hiccup with the 60e is it's car like .70:1 OD. That combined with limited 3-4 clutch pack...

    My GMT400, like usual.

    Paperweight Rebuild REV03

Kind of fell off the map here. Just stopped thinking so much about the truck or documenting it after Moab, Pismo and the holidays. To current: I built a reservoir mount. Retubed the intermediate shaft. Managed to fumble through and tack tack tack an exhaust system together that ended...

    ifs lockers?

I thought the Alpha's with the Adventure (ZM6) package got the larger and cast iron diff and Eaton E-Locker in it?

    ifs lockers?

ZM6 H3's have 8.25" cast iron front diffs with factory electric lockers. I could give you the GM part number, msrp is ~$700, but you'll just blow up the your oem mag case if you bind up with the wheel dead ahead and the CV's level.

See didn't want me to edit her out of the video, haha. So where were we? Oh, power steering. For this incarnation as you might remember I'm using a 235 p-pump from a C60-6500 Kodiak with a tall deck 366 or 472. I modified it to run canless. To seal the housing, I had to use a bit of Marine-Tex...

    Paperweight Rebuild REV03

Well it runs. LQ4 HD truck lower rad hose fits great. Same spec truck upper fits...other than the shroud. It may clear the hood, not sure yet. Factory 06 truck intake will work great. I'll mod the factory battery tray to move it back and still have to mount the box itself. Factory...

    DirtridinZ71 Budget SAS Build

Love the traction of the ARB when I need it, but I would HATE life if I couldn't unlock it on the fly. IT doesn't turn for crap even with the big double ended hydraulic ram on the front end aired down and just pushes. I run unlocked I'd guess at 85% of the time.

Another what Transfer case do i have question

100% positive. That's kind of like saying there can't be 2500's that aren't 8600lb gvwr. The badge is just a badge and doesn't correspond directly to a tow rating or a GVWR. The actual rating is whatever GM decided matched the frame and drive train. I would think you would be the first to know...

Another what Transfer case do i have question

11000 gvwr or 8600gvwr? The 241c isn't rated to be in a vehicle with GVWR above 9k or so I thought which is why they have the 3 piece 4470 and 2 piece 4401.

Another what Transfer case do i have question

    3500's got BW cases. Either a 4401 or a 4470.

Thanks, appreciate it. They're PVDF swivel fittings, 1/4NPT x 3/8 tube. The tubing is clear PFA. the biggest concern was hydraulic oil rating and temperature rating. At speed, the t-case fluid gets hot, I've heard 200*F is easy.

Busy weekend. Some stuff got done on the truck, but I was hoping to key up the motor and fire it off and that didn't happen, maybe this week. Belly pan is in. Cut down the inspection cover to make it fit behind the LS truck oil pan. Got it bolted in after a littler...

Disc brake conversion: YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG

GMT400 spring width doesn't mesh with that clocking as you found. Earlier trucks had narrower rear pad width that worked out. Mine are clocked down as well, I've only hit the lines once which just resulted in having to retighten the banjo bolt.

Blazerfest 13 at Hollister Hills 07/2012

Rigs still in the driveway getting rebuilt, but I headed out to camp with my buddies and ride with Jason for the weekend. Not GMT400's, but predominantly fullsizes.

4x4 Manual floor stick to push button?

Floor shift, as alluded to, still needs the shift position sensor on the case to work as well as the actuator on the diff to give you 4wd. Push button simply adds a switch and encoder motor on the t-case to fail in addition to the other common items.

    cross over steering question?

Understood, but that doesn't mean their is anything wrong with doing it so long as you build or use mount that are strong enough. With a panhard you're just loading the mount you welded or bolted to the frame instead of the leaf spring hangers that are welded or bolted to the frame. It's just a...

    88 GMC Trail/DD Rig

If you like the reduction in your 241 there's no reason to change it out. Alot of people have a cast iron, gear drive only mentality that's difficult to break through, but the 241 is plenty stout on it's own provided you don't hit it directly. As to the SYE, it's up to you. You could go to a...

    cross over steering question?

There's no need to run a track/panhard bar with crossoverover unless you have a lot of lift, low drop pitman and no rise arm at the axle. At 7" with a 4" drop pitman and flat steering arm I didn't have any noticeable bump steer pre-ram assist.

    88 GMC Trail/DD Rig

Those divorced cases don't have a mounting pattern drilled and tapped on their face. Not even sure if there is enough material their to mill a flat sealing surface and drill and tap a pattern to bring them in. I'd look into other options personally unless you want to run a driver drop 241 with a...
