    96 K2500 ECSB 6.5 Turbo Diesel

The only issue I have had with it so far is that the service engine light will come on periodically and go right out. Had it plugged in today and it gave me stored codes 78, 84, and 99. Cleared the codes and drove it some and the only repeat code was code 78 which indicates a wastegate...

    96 K2500 ECSB 6.5 Turbo Diesel

The extension cable for the PMD (FSD) is on it's way, going to move it to the front bumper area. Was thinking about getting another PMD to have for a spare. I'll have to check the PCM to see if there is a chip in it. RPO code GT4 for 3.73's original but that could have been swapped out at any...

    96 K2500 ECSB 6.5 Turbo Diesel

Just figured it up and I'm getting 23MPG. I haven't been easy on 'er either since I picked it up Saturday night. Not sure what else the previous owner might have modded or how to tell but it is really peppy, the throttle response in incredible, really touchy. Is there any way I can find out...

    96 K2500 ECSB 6.5 Turbo Diesel

Thanks for the tips, I just ordered a 40" extension cable for the PMD from usdieselparts online. Thinking about mounting it in the cab, is that a bad idea? Does the PMD (FSD) itself get really hot just from operation? If so I guess I'll go with the front bumper/grill area for better cooling.

    96 K2500 ECSB 6.5 Turbo Diesel

So just take off the turbo power cover completely and leave it off? The dealer told me where the PMD was relocated already with a heatsink and fan (you can see it next to the turbo power cover) Is that still a bad spot for it? Should I make the effort to relocate it behind the light like in...

    96 K2500 ECSB 6.5 Turbo Diesel

Well I sold the K3500 (as you can see in that post) and bought this truck. I've had it for three days and hands down I have enjoyed this truck more than any other truck I have owned! I've had plenty of new GMCs (04, 08, 09) This truck is exceptionally clean for the year and the Northeast...

    My 2000 Chevy K3500

I like the bumper, but it conflicted with my stock receiver hitch that I am starting to miss.. I'd rather have a nice stock rear bumper again so I can have my hitch back!

    My 2000 Chevy K3500

I can't justify having a ton truck, as much as I like it I don't utilize it. I don't tow anything that heavy.
