I was just wondering if anyone out there has done this swap or if anyone can break down all the connections for me tard style...like "this color goes to this color" kinda break down. Anything...

1993 RCSB dash/ steering column swap to 97-98 Suburban

How's it going everyone.... so I'm doing what most people I've talked to about this has said is just not worth the work, swapping out not only the dash in my 93, but the entire steering column as well. I'm gonna be posting pics of my progress and all that, but the main reason I'm posting on this...

wanna combine a 93 RCSB with a C5 Corvette chassis

Oh I'm fully prepared for things not to go the way I think they will, wouldn't be any fun it it did! But I have already considered everything you've brought up, and yes I realize I will not get absolutely 100% vette performance, but I will get damn close. So lets address the problems you have...

wanna combine a 93 RCSB with a C5 Corvette chassis

Well this certainly generated alot more response than I thought it would!! I like the input I'm getting, but it seems like most of the responses have been to stick with going the easy route, well, here's my response to the "just go with a four link" and "go with a cobra IRS".... there's nothing...

wanna combine a 93 RCSB with a C5 Corvette chassis

I have a 93 RCSB with the reliable, yet powerless 4.3. I'm a fabricator by trade and really want to put that to the test; I wanna convert my truck into a corvette in disguise! First thing I'm going to need is any drawings or schematics anyone might have for either the trucks frame and suspension...

    The Overhead Console Thread

I like your plan, but the fact is that I really just like the look and feel of the monte controls better (and no the knobs don't switch over). There's been alot of helicopter work lately so my electronics guys haven't had enough time to map out the connections yet, but hopefully we can get that...

    99-07 center console in a 93

So I've picked up an 03 Suburban center console, the one that stretches all the way into the dash. I was just wondering if anyone has done any custom work molding one of these into a 88-94 dash. I can handle the modifications myself, but I was hoping to get some inside tips from someone who's...

    The Overhead Console Thread

I do have the schematics for both of them, the Army has an entire library online of schematics, pretty cool actually. Anyway, the fitment isn't my issue, I can fabricate anything to fit into any space I need it to since I'm a fabricator by trade. The Grand Prix controls won't work either though...

    The Overhead Console Thread

Remote wiring it is! i've since decided to use the controls from a 96 Monte Carlo as it's circuit board is much less "attached" to the face housing and allows for easier remote wiring. The Suburban controls that come in the console wouldn't work because of the fact that those controls need the...

Need to move and change HVAC contrrols

Thanks for the advice guys, but I'm pretty determined to make the overhead controls work. I've got a buddy that works in aircraft avionics so this weekend we're going to dig into some wiring schematics and try to piece it together. Right now though, i've got it mounted up. It took some trimming...

Need to move and change HVAC contrrols

If anyone can help me out with this it would be great. I need to move the HVAC controls on my 93 RCSB from the stock location on the dash into the overhead center console I got out of a 98 Suburban with rear HVAC controls. I'd like to use the controls that are already in it. Can anyone out there...

    The Overhead Console Thread

Ok, so I've been all over this site hoping to find what I was looking for, but to no avail. I have a 93 RCSB and I am installing an overhead console from a suburban with the rear HVAC controls. My question is, is there anyone out there who knows how or if the HVAC controls in the console can be...
