I'm like smurr. I would give anything for that 89 SLX. You could see them a mile away. Nice exteriors and SL interiors. Only give away is the black mirrors and body trim. Man what it was like not to have cookie cutter trucks.- hbl1980

Help, cylinder misfire, rough idle, significant power loss
God bless GM's random misfires. I've been chasing one now for a week. I have completed a full tune up (Only 66k original miles), blah, blah, blah and still nothing. Looks like it's time to bite the bullet and buy myself a early Christmas present (new spider injector). Oh joy!- hbl1980

ChrisAU's '98 ECSB K1500 Build Thread
Good looking truck. I just got rid of my 2009 F250 for a nice 1996 K1500 with 62K miles. You can beat these old trucks and the new truck payments. BTW I think I bought a grille from you off c-list not long ago. The 1992 is looking much better since the last time I was on here.- hbl1980

Why so many 400s leaving?
I enjoyed that powerstroke alot. It would pull anything. I had a HS tuner with 5 turbo back exhaust, but $4 fuel and $100 oil changes make me decide to go gas again. Grew up on 88-98 trucks and still love 'em. I almost traded for a 1990 k1500 z71 with only 900 miles for $25K. It wasnt practical...- hbl1980

Why so many 400s leaving?
Just sold 2009 F250 diesel for a 1996 K1500 with 63k miles. I have two at the house 1 1993 and this 1996. I'll never buy anything over a 1998 again. They are rare but you can still find them with low miles.- hbl1980
