    Thank ya! I can’t agree more, I’m having a blast just figuring stuff out as I go (although my bank account isn’t). This whole project is taking way longer than expected but I still think it’s worth it in the long run due to a plethora of learned skills I can use for the rest of my life.

    First box I ever built was mdf glued and screwed. Since have added a second amp and 2 crossovers all flush mount with the beauty cover.

    I like the birch for more than just sound. it takes a kerf bend quite nicely and doesn’t chip out as easy as some others when I’m going around the edges with the router. Although a good sharp bit is probably most of that. It also seems to hold up to time quite well even unfinished.

    I saw a truck once with a bed stack exhaust that turned back down and the tip was a shower head, that should probably be on the list. Although it was pretty funny since it was the actual exhaust and not a dummy.

    I told myself a month ago to go ahead and order a spare and had gotten caught up in so much other stuff I completely forgot about it until I went to use it… I do at least keep a nice stockpile of cutoff wheels, grinding disk and so on.

    If your old master hasn’t been drained then you won’t need to bench bleed but you will most likely still be adding some new fluid while bleeding even if you don’t completely flush the system.     You needed an “upgrade” from hydroboost? It does need bled after you put it back together. Take the chance to bench bleed the master and flush all the old fluid while bleeding.
