    I actually see that they sell the shift shaft at Summit so that's convenient. From what I can tell Erik you are correct. Looks like I'll need to pull the valve body to replace it. Thanks for the info.

    I should have mentioned I already had the engine out. I did manage to pull the transmission and transfer case as one unit using my floor jack and a piece of 2x4.

    @ Komet, That is good to know. Had me worried. I probably won't get to it for a little bit but do you know where I could get a replacement? Do you think that is something I can find on summit or jeggs and do you know what I would call it to search for it?

    I am finally getting back around to reassembling my 98 engine. This is my first enging build and it has been a while since I have worked on it. Can anyone tell me what all mounts on the block itself. I dont want to forget anything.Is there only one knock sensor , and motor mounts?

    I did label and put most everything in a baggie. I can't seem to find the bolt for the balancer at the moment so was just worried I may have misplaced other ones. Just want to see f there was a way to look them up just in case I run into trouble

    Getting ready to put my engine back together. Anyone know if there is a list of different bolts and sizes needed. For example water pump bolts. Pulley bolts, . A complete list would be helpful because It's been a while since I pulled the engine and I'm am sure I misplaced some.

    Hey L31, thanks for this info. Makes me feel much better. I wast really sure why pcmforless stated above a 218 cam I'd need the 36lb injectors but sounds like I will be ok.

    Hey thanks for this information RockLake. Keith at PCMforless told me now sells a spider setup with 36lb injectors for $600. He told me if I go above a 218 camshaft then I'll need the 36lb injectors. If this is accurate, Keith seems like he knows his stuff, I'll rethink my cam selection.

    It's a 383 crank but the cylinders did not need to be bored.030. So a 377? Will that be ok with the stock injectors?

    Before I tore the engine down I did replace the stock poppet spider with an acdelco mpfi. Not sure what injectors are on it. Its just one they recommend replacing the stock poppet spider with .So do you guys think its possible it would work with the lunati cam I mentioned ? Or would it just not...

    Sorry for all the questions but I'm learning. I emailed Keith at pcmforless. Keith said I will need 36 lb injectors for this cam. I read about the marine intake but are ther any other options?
