Weighed up the pro's and cons, As i was getting my lift kit through the shop i work for the...

    My 97 GMC 1500, A slow progression!

So i got this truck aprox, 2 months ago. Its main purpose was daily driver/ mess around in the mud kind of truck. I also dirt bike so this was an added extra that i could throw my bike in the back too! Anyways onto the plan. Decided i didn't want to go to huge with the lift because i wanted to...

    Rough Country 2-3" vs 4"

The reason the lift in the rear isn't as high as the front is because trucks have rake from the factory. So if you put 2" in the front and 2" in the rear it'll sit un level most likely. I think you'll find that a few lift kits will even use a smaller lift block in the rear and sometimes go even...

    6+3 on 33s ??

^I'm with this guy. Im running exactly the same tires, 35x12.50r16 thornbirds except the only difference is im only running a 2" lift and i have no rub except for on flex im pretty sure they will touch the fender a little. But as far as turning goes i can get full lock both ways moving or not...

    alignment for me?

The shop i work at doesn't seem to have huge issues aligning lifted trucks, as long as the sensor fits on the rim/tire. I also run tsl Thornbirds so i can understand why they cant get the sensor on, those things sit pretty much right on the edge of my rim. I even had a hard time getting wheel...

    cranking 2"

Yeah i understand where your coming from, i don't really know how its supposed to lift the truck without twisting the bars either. Im just going by what i read on Tuff Country's website. They all seem to say the same thing about getting lift without 'cranking up' the bars, but you know what...

    cranking 2"

I think the point of 'Aftermarket' Torsion keys is that they re-index the bar so it's not 'cranked up' and twisted like you get when you crank the factory keys. Therefore allowing the torsion bar to sit in the correct stock position and increasing height without the stress, or at least not as...
