2500 vs 1500 Brakes
On my 97 half ton Hoe the brakes seem to not grab nearly as well as on my dad's '95 2500 work truck. Even though his truck consistently weighs 6200-7000 pounds with all the tools and stuff in the bed. Do the 2500s have bigger rotors, calipers, or what? Scary Brake Problem
Well I got new tires yesterday (Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S 285s), and they replaced the ball joints, tie rods, etc. My brakes had always very slowly had a leak somewhere, not sure where. How Does This Happen?
My dad's truck is a 2500 with a utility bed and a tommy lift on the back. It's got the 350 TBI. It weighs 6500 pounds with nothing in the bed and for most of the past tank there's been an air conditioner in the back of it. It got 11.7 mpg. I Love Seafoam
About two nights ago I turned on the Hoe right outside of QT and heard a loud ticking like a lifter. Well it went away in about a minute. Another Coolant Leak
These things leak coolant way too much. I saw a small puddle below my hoe and noticed it was coolant. It's coming from near the top of the radiator on the drivers side. Towing In OD
I know it's considered awful to tow in OD, yeah, but I've done it before. I'll downshift it when I get to hills or if it hunts. Void Box Delete?
I had seen before where people get rid of the void box in the engine, saying it can gain hp. They'll take it off then put a plug or something on the hole. Does it actually do any good to do that? FYI, the void box is the little black box behind the throttle body that says "Vortec" on it.- Fleeingpepper
