Another odd 1/2ton 3/4ton suspension mix question
After reading those other posts, I believe if I get a Blazer & want to make it 8 lug front & back I'd probably swap the rear end & then cut the front end clip off the K2500 and weld it in place of the blazer front clip...assuming there is a spot in front of the body mounts that would allow that...- Kraig

The Scamp has a mild balanced & blueprinted 318 running roller rockers and some other goodies that I picked up. Put 1/2 ton springs & torsion bars under a 3/4 ton Burb?
I've seen several threads about putting 3/4 ton suspension under 1/2 ton BUT if I already have a 1997 3/4 ton K2500 Suburban that I use mostly for hunting, off-road, & forestry roads, is it possible to swap out the front torsion bars and the rear springs so I end up with a 1/2 ton ride? Been super busy, forgot to update where I'm at with this. The good, the bad, & the ugly coming up... The bad: Had to pay a mechanic to sort it out. Love Anthony (the mechanic) so far! Had to replace the over sized injectors with stock flow injectors. That plus the vacuum leaks was a HUGE...- Kraig

1997 K3500 4X4 Dually Performance Questions!
Let me know if you find any options for reprogramming the 97 454 computer, I need to do the same and so far having a hard time finding if it can even be done. Seems like 98-00 no problem.- Kraig

UPDATE: Picked up a PCV installed it with some gas line since the molded rubber part isn't available any more AND fingers crossed it seemed to be doing even better. I drove it for about 30 minutes to get to the mechanic I'm using to rebuild the front end and when I got there it didn't stall...- Kraig

WillB - It does it both cold & warm. I did a vacuum hose check and right under the throttle body there was a boot that was off that was sucking air. That helped a tiny bit. Looking further I see that on the drivers side there is an old school valve cover breather installed where I'll bet...- Kraig

I picked up a 1997 K2500 Suburban w/454 in it that the previous owner had rebuilt, he drove it a few months & when the tranny took a dump I was able to buy it for a song & dance basically.
