A few stupid questions

First of all, I know these questions are stupid. But I'm trying to learn, so I figure it wouldn't be TOO embarrassing to ask. Where is the sensor for the speedometer? My guess is it's on the back wheels somewhere, because the speedo moves to a faster speed when doing burnouts. Where does...

The stock unit does the job more than fine. If you really want more performance, save your money and buy a set of headers.

Funky smell

Mile does it too. I've alway's just assumed it was all the carbon deposits in the engine burning off, and my neighbor (a mechanic) said I'm likely right.

1997 4L60E issue

Replaced the TPS this morning and it's still throwing all the same codes. Do I have to clear the codes in order for the truck to run normally again? Also, The truck will occasionally sputter and die if you let off the gas abruptly.

1997 4L60E issue

So I took out the scanner today and the truck threw 5 codes. P1345 - cam to crank sensor error (something like that) P0121 - Throttle position sensor P0122 - Throttle position sensor P0302 - cylinder 2 misfire P0108 - Manifold Air Pressure sensor. Looks like the TPS is the issue. I'm a bit...

no radio ugh!

I know on my radio (it was the 2 peice one with the five band E.Q.) there was some sort of "Radio control unit" under the dash (above the driver's pedal. Silver, I think). When I ran my wires into that, nothing worked. So I followed the wires from the speakers back to the source, and it was that...

This is a GMC? Is the chevy dash different behind the stock radio? Because on my 91 Chevy there is a sort of "bump" in the plastic on the back "wall" of the radio hole (for lack of better words). It would be where the left circle thing in your pic is. I know it's basically irrelevant, but just...

Carbon fiber hoods??

I think it could look ok If used properly, on the right truck. I hate the look of it unpainted, but every once in a while, I'll see one on a street car that just works for it. I think if it fit's the "attitude" of the truck or whatever, it could work. Why not?
