    Aftermarket radio won't turn off

I have a 97 1500. When I put the new deck in, it switched on and off with the key just fine. About a week later it just stayed on all the time. Is there a relay used to switch the power, or is it controlled by the ignition alone? Thanks in advance

    Exhaust help

Thank you all for the replies. I just purchased an off-road y-pipe from jegs, that comes without the cats, for a fraction of the price

    Exhaust help

It's a 97 sierra 1500 z71 with the 5.7 vortec and auto trans. I am fairly confident in my ability to do the work myself, just have to find the time and space. Thanks for all your help

    Exhaust help

Haha thanks for the replies. The major cost, at $1000 is the y pipe since there are 2 cats in it. Plus four hours labour to re-stud one manifold since the nuts are almost non existent

    Exhaust help

Hey, sorry if this has been answered already. After driving down a bumpy road, my 97 sierra got an awful exhaust leak. It is coming from where the manifold meets the exhaust pipe on the passenger side. At first I thought it was the donut gasket, but the exhaust shop informed me that the exhaust...

    P0102 and P0151 help please

Just a little update incase someone is brought to this thread by a google search. The fuel filter did not solve all my problems, as the P0151 code came back. Turns out that the ground strap on the passenger side head that goes to the frame had frayed and came apart. Replaced the strap and all...

    P0102 and P0151 help please

Thankyou for the replies, I appreciate it. Just for shits I checked the fuel pressure. 60 psi key on engine off, 50 psi at idle, and jumped up to ~58 psi at full throttle. Changed the fuel filter and now all is good. I still don't understand how I got those codes. -Nick

    P0102 and P0151 help please

I did check the fuses in the cab and under the hood on the driver side. Are there other fuses to check for the sensors? I will go check the o2 wiring now. Thanks for your help -Nick

    P0102 and P0151 help please

Hey guys. My truck (1997 vortec 350) has had real bad hesitation for the past couple days. Finally today it gave me these codes: P0102: MAF Circuit Low Input P0151: O2 Sensor Circuit Low B2S1 Now it seems strange that I would be getting a low signal on both sensors. I checked all the fuses in...

    Levelling

I'm mainly curious if there are any kits designed to move the front suspension down a couple inches. The main thing keeping me from going to a 4 or 6" lift is having to regear, and putting added stress on the transmission. Not too worried about the resale value.

    Levelling

I'm not too fond of lowering it any. I use the truck off road for hunting, and ground clearance is already minimal.

    Levelling

I want to level my 97 Z71 to get the stance I want, but I don't want to simply crank the keys and have it ride like hell. I was looking at the rough county 2-3 kit, but it doesn't seem to have very good reviews around here. Any other suggestions?
