Pic of 6in lift with 35 or 36s

Thanks. But, yeah, Thornturds are a bad decision if you're looking at doing anything that remotely requires traction. Aired down in the sand they performed excellent. I could go anywhere on the beach with them in 2wd, whereas with the boggers I need 4 wheel pull. However, if you want a tire...

    Actual cost for bolt-on lifts?

35's w/ 4.56's will be fine. I ran 4.56's on my 35x12.5 Thornturds for years and feel that they worked great for that tire size, on and off road. I pulled a trailer loaded with four wheelers for miles on the interstate many times with no problems out of them yet.

some updates on the truck. PICS inside!

Ride quality depends on how high you crank it.

Those are going to be some big boogers. I'd try boggers first.

I've ran multiple sets of Thornbirds on my truck in the past. They're an aggresive looking tire that actually run quite well in the sand and, aired down they don't do too bad in the rocks. That being said, **** Thornbirds! for the **** the put me in back in Nov. 08. Pics in...

Since it is the bolt on section, and that includes mostly ifs kits, post up your flexing pics. Hell, it might help some people decide when buying tires for their ride seeing what stuffs and what eats fenders. Make sure to include what size of lift, cranked, bl, tire size, etc. 6" RCX, 3" PA...

    Carnage and Stuck Pics

6" of lift, 35x12.5r16 thornturds, 4.56's and a spool. There was no bottom to this ****. Truck sat there for three days. 7 of my friends got stuck trying to get me out, as did a Massey and a 150k front end loader. Ended up taking a track hoe to get us.

    Trail rig

Good choice on going with the Moog replacement parts. Since I went with all Moog replacements up front, I haven't worn anything out. They're pretty beefy stuff. As for the gears, 4.88's or 5.13's will be great for a 37. I'd say don't fear the gear and run the 5.13's w/ those 37's. As for...

If anybody has the same measurements for a stock truck, post that up and it'll help out anybody else searching. I might edit the first post to include the info (before and after) if I can get everything together.

    Truck leans to driver side

I live in North Chase dude. Speaking of wheeling, gmfs.com is having a meet at Freeman park (the north end of Carolina beach) the second weekend in June. You should roll out. We'll be camping, haven't figured out yet if it will be Friday or Saturday. I go out there more frequent than that...

    Truck leans to driver side

Technically, there really isn't much you can do. If your frame is true and, guessing by your screen name, that when you swapped your running gear you welded everything in square, you are suffering from the common problem known as Chevy lean. Your gas tank is on the driver side. Thus, when you...

Bump for fender measurements, as requested. Front fender, from fender to center of center cap, is 30.25". Same measurement on the rear yielded 28.5". Hope this helps.

    The Body Lift Thread

A little bad news for ya. The fan shroud spacer isn't going to help keep your truck cooler. I found this out last year too, after I installed my 3" BL. I ended up buying a new radiator, fan, fan clutch, tried 2 or 3 different thermostats, and driving down the road it stayed cool, but as soon...
