1989 fresh air door actuator part#

I can't seem to find the part number for my 1989 fresh air door actuator (recirc). If memory serves me correct, when you turn the key off the fresh air door is "supposed" to move to open to vent the cab when the truck if off. Then when AC is on medium or high that door closes to "condition" the...

Weatherstrip question

I have a 1989 regular cab truck and am thinking about changing out the weatherstrip there at the doors. I have allot of wind noise, and the other day it was POURING the rain (maybe I didn't have the door slammed, which is getting worse and worse... I have to freakin SLAM the door) anyways... got...

6 lug conversion (dead horse?)

I have a 1989 Chevy 1500 that I am getting ready to LS swap in the next few months, and seen some stuff about 6 lug conversions. I have a 10 bolt disc brake 3:42 now that I like, but it is a open diff rear axle. I know a LS will eAt one tire all up! The front is "easy" I guess (cut and dry would...

Why not use factory clutch fan

I am in the process of gathering materials and info before I do my 89 chevy truck ls swap, my question is why does everyone switch to electric fans? If the clutch fan on our stock trucks (1989 2wd truck) works fine to keep the engine cool, AND the ls donor truck/suv has a clutch fan to keep them...
