    96 K2500 Suburban 454 dyno run

So a little update. I have still not received the other graph from my buddy, I guess it has slipped his mind. I was over at his shop today and installed a 320lph fuel pump today. That should supply enough fuel for the turbo. I have ordered a few more parts and those should be in soon. I am...

    96 K2500 Suburban 454 dyno run

The graphs are posted in the photo in post 5. Update, after the pcm swap I tuned the truck and also installed a pcm swap on my buddy's suburban. My wife decided to buy me a turbo for valentines day. You have to love that. I chose a single 78mm turbo from on3performance. These are china...

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

Lextech, I did not do anything with the EGR except unhook the plug at the valve. I thought with the EGR function deleted in the tune that was all that was needed until I remove the EGR completely and install a block off plate, am I wrong on that one.

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

I wired up my pcm last night and it fired right up. The crank re learn code came up immediately and this morning I wired up the trans wires even though the spreadsheet did not list them. I don't know if they are no longer needed but I pulled up all data and found the corresponding pins and...

    96 K2500 Suburban 454 dyno run

About what I expected for basically stock. We were going to log the a/f ratio and overlay that into the graph but didn't see the point for stock tuning. 0411 pcm is due here tomorrow, so that will be changed next weekend. I will get a comparison overlay for his 6.0 and my 7.4. It's funny...

    96 K2500 Suburban 454 dyno run

Sitting on the dyno. My buddy just bought this potable dyno and we ran it outside because we could. He is adding an addition on the back of his shop for the dyno. The also have a full machine shop and engine dyno. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PR9A-KEmDFY It' strange because we had to lock...

Here is a shot of the front cat removed and the pipe braced so I had no movement when removing the cat.

    96 K2500 Suburban 454 dyno run

I have a K2500 Suburban with the 7.4 vortec engine and will soon be doing some upgraded so I figured I might want to document the gains with real proof. Today I ran a few times on the dyno to create a baseline. The truck has 210,000 miles on it and runs great. I wanted to run it completely...

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

That's great. Mine should be here soon. I'm accumulating parts for the cam swap and I'm disappointed that I didn't dyno mine stock. I am going to dyno it with the stock pcm and then after the 411 swap. My buddy has a brand new dyno and we are wanting actual hp and tq numbers for each step of the...

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

I just ordered my pcm from Lextech. I just added a magnaflow muffler and it seems like I picked up decent power out of the change. The truck just runs noticeably better. The pcm swap is gonna be needed when I change to the zz502 cam and upgraded fuel injectors. I can't wait to get started on the...

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

Thanks, Lextech but I talked to him and he said he was taking about the crank sensor. Is the crank sensor compatible as well.

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

I'm new to the forum and I have a '96 Suburban 2500 with the 7.4. I'm going to do the 0411 swap, but I was told I have to change to a different type cam sensor. Is that correct? I haven't read anything about that, unless I missed it. Thanks. Lextech, I'm going to pm you for the pin locations.
