    93-97 NV3500 short throw shifter

You see the difference? The one on ebay has a generic Core base. It doesn't have the adjustable bump stops to protect your shift rail and it's not as strong. This one should sell for 300+ Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

'79 Ford Dana 44 3/4 ton front axle. 4.56, locked

Thanks, It's a beast. Not only is it technically new it's upgraded and locked. It has an awesome Auburn locker in it. I actually built it for my mud bog truck but I'm pulling out of racing for a while. Too much going on now with grandkids. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Salvage yard leaf springs for my SAS

Dang, looks like I'm still going to have a problem. Mine is the 3/4 ton 44 with the original '79 Ford hubs. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Salvage yard leaf springs for my SAS

You're assuming the solid axle I'm putting in will be exactly the same as this IFS? I don't believe it is. What I don't know is his hub to hub measurement. He has the same width tires and wheels as I do. A picture of the front of his truck might tell me what I need to know. Sent from my...

    RCX vs. Zone

I don't care what anyone is getting at. I told the original poster he'd get 6" of lift and he will. Mine is at 7". You can bring your tape measure over here and check it. I didn't say the brackets were 6" and I didn't say the kit had been changed. Let it go. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Salvage yard leaf springs for my SAS

And can you shoot me a pic of your truck from the front? I'm trying to figure out if my wheel track will be narrower. Right now even with the 4" backspacing my truck is 2" too wide to fit on my trailer. When I haul it to the races I have to change wheels/tires to load/unload. Sent from my...

Salvage yard leaf springs for my SAS

As for my wheels, I don't think I can get by with less than 4" of backspace. My rims are 10" wide and my boggers are 14.5" wide. Is that close to what yours are? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Salvage yard leaf springs for my SAS

I tried to find a Dana 60 with the 32" spring perches. Everybody who had one wanted an outrageous amount of money for it. I did put Richmond 4.56 gears, Auburn locker and upgraded u-joints in it though. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Frustrating Electrical Problem

Yeah. There are chassis grounds I just can't remember where they're all at. If I remember correctly there are some on the steering column mounts. Check there for bad wires. Remember, you can have a broken wire anywhere so use the continuity tester. I'm glad we figured out that it's a ground...

    Frustrating Electrical Problem

Ok, if that's all secure then the motor/chassis is grounded pretty good. If the problem is occurring right now, I'd run a temporary ground to the controls and see if that fixes it. If you have 12 volts to the connector and a temporary ground doesn't fix it then I'm not smart enough to help ya lol

Salvage yard leaf springs for my SAS

Right on man. I can pull the overload and one leaf pretty easy. Hey, while I've got you on the line, what size rims are you running on that rig? My new front axle is a '79 Ford 3/4 ton Dana44 with the dual piston brake calipers that are freaking humongous. I'm not even sure a 16" rim will...

    Frustrating Electrical Problem

You know what a continuity tester is? You might need one. You have a disruption of either a hot or a ground current. You just need to find it. You can tap into the ground wire for the controls and connect a length of wire that's easily accessible. Wait for the problem to occur and then touch it...
