    Your best and cheapest bet would be to put it right behind your Y-pipe because if you were to put 2 before the cats without a tune the Check Engine Light would turn on whenever you opened them and would stay on until you clear the codes.     That's a nice truck. Almost identical to mine that I picked up for 4000 but that one is way cleaner than mine and mine was bone stock.

    I mainly like it because it looks like it's flush with the headlights unlike the one on my 97 which sticks out and is bubbly. The inserts don't really matter to me.

    So I was looking at corner lights on ebay and came across a picture of a grille that I really like but I have no idea were I can find one. To me it almost looks like a grille from a 454 SS, but I can't tell for sure.

    If I'm not mistaken O'riely's(at least in my town) has a Bulldog Security auto start kit on clearance for about $20 and that's what I installed in my truck the other day. I would just install that if I were you. I have the oem keyless entry and that only worked only half the time at a descent range.

    I did quite a bit of research on these motors when I was looking into getting a Feiro and putting a supercharged 3.8l, which is a pretty popular swap. If I'm not mistaken you can make quite a bit of power out of them with out to much work or money but unfortunately they don't bolt in to any rwd...

    I agree worst comes to worst the 10-bolt goes out at some point down the road and then you just replace it with the 14.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's just for better towing/durability. I would think you would be fine with just a 10-bolt if you're not towing a lot/heavy loads.

    Thanks I've never heard of that. Right now I'm just looking at options for next winter. I have always driven my dad's trucks in the snow up until this last winter and they all had LSD/locking diffs. Those did great (plus you could really get sideways which was super fun in his Duramax...
