I had it aligned and now I need an extra lane to make a u turn and pulling into parking spaces on the left are now a multi point turn.

What did they do?

Thanks!

Meant to mention that the steering stops at the front right and driver's side rear don't touch. Opposite stops are shiny.

Wheels turned far right I can see the inside of the tire from driver's side door. Turned far left only half the treads are visible.

Sounds like your pitman arm is in the wrong spot.. basically to far around on e way or the other... with the wheels straight. Look at the pitman arm.. it should be pointing straight back or pretty dang close...

If it ain't the the tie rods need to be adjusted properly to fix it... but then if I'm right the steering wheel will be outta wack then..

What work did you do that you needed to get an alignment done?.

I would take it back to the alignment shop, tell them what the problem is, and demand that they fix the problem, which really looks like their mistake.

Just an alignment because I haven't had one since I've had it and thought it would be a good idea. If it ain't broke...

Do what Ironhead said, take it back and have them address the issue, any shop that is halfway decent will do so without complaint.

I put a new ac delco gear box on my 98 and had more turning radius to the right then left where it wouldn't hit steering stops. Had to replace the gear box. Also make sure it's not hitting on anything else, calipers hits shocks or anything like that
