I got real lucky, I found a truck that spent most of its life in Kentucky and ripped the whole thing apart just for the frame, most solid GMT400 frame i've seen in years around here.

Same thing here In my area of Texas.... plenty to choose from and 99% are mostly if not totally rust free...

Here in Tennessee, we get some road salt in the deepest parts of winter but for a car to get severe rust here it's extremely rare. We get mostly base of fender or cab corner rust because of leaf buildup holding moisture in those hard to access spots. The pull a parts or pick and pulls get their fair share of our trucks but they don't last long. Just like the Louisiana trucks, the engines or transmissions are usually what gives out first.

I was in Florida last year. My dad took me to a few yards near his house looking for z71 bump stops. The amount of rust free trucks was amazing. Frames and bodies looked like they just came off the showroom. Interiors were shot to crap though. I am going down again in August. May spend a little more time looking around.
